Default Help Connection problems

I am having trouble connecting to lw i have closed my firewall, accepted lw, and upnp, disabled norton antivirus, tried almodst everything i've seen posted on connection trouble and I still can't connect.
I have XP
lw 4,12 java 1.6
trying to connect from house
windstream dsl (speedstream 4200 modem)

when i close my firewall it still shows the brickwall up on lw
I have been working on this on and off for a couple of days trying different things HELP PLEASE!!

I also checked to see if I had received incoming this seesion it was false
I also tried this test http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ but it said server not found
I called my dsl provider and they do not p2p
my speed test results are download 1140 upload 282

note: I know some about computers but i need detailed instructions please thanks

Check this post out it has a solution from a Windstream user...

Also your modem/router has a Nat Firewall, so you will have to port forward...
These are your instructions...

yes and my firewall is off i have tried the port forwarding but not sure that i did it correctly

Go over your port forwarding again or get someone to help you with it...Each step in the process is very important and if you go wrong somewhere or leave something out it wont work...

You could also try these fixes, they may help...

Try uninstalling your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11


Then uninstall Limewire using the uninstaller which is found in start > all programs > limewire...then re-install it using the offline installer...To find the offline installer, use the link below > cancel the installer window when it pop's up and then select the offline installer link...
Lime Wire » Download LimeWire


If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...
