i have purchased limewire pro about a week ago. i couldn't get it to connect, we have been having some really bad weather n fires out this way so i thought maybe it was just bad interference. but it has been a week now and still i can't connect. i was able to connect one time since i have purchased limewire pro. i don't appreciate paying for it and then not able to use it please help me.

First thing to try: Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later. What version of Java are you using? People have had connection problems with Javas 1.0.6_01 & 02. Try this version instead. Use the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java version(s) before you install this one. Is there a phone number to call n talk to a live person? or does anyone know how you get a refund. I'm not paying for something that i can't use or at least get some help with using it. please help me.

birdie, ive done all that, none of it worked, but hopefully, since i havent tried the second solution, it works, what i get is, i dont get any incoming connections, the connections page is completely blank

Yep, you need to be able to connect to the network (connect to other users) before you'll be able to search etc. Hopefully the Java fix will work for you, but if not then post your details & we'll have a better idea of what might be going wrong.
