 Wondering why, I just did everything you said to do with both the java and limewire, but it did the same exact thing as I stated above. So that's several versions of java & limewire both now, and all doing the same thing. I just don't get it. I don't know what to do.  |

| What security are you using ?? Some scanners think that there is spyware in limewire (which there isn't)...

| Close to the same problem I'm actually having the same type of problem. I installed and have been using Lime wire 4.14.1 a little over a week ago with virtually no problems and then today it has started freezing up. I open the program and it gets to the stage where it begins to connect and the locks up every time I try it. I have un-installed and re-installed several times. I have even gone through the trouble of re-downloading the installer program and still it keeps locking up. Any suggestions that can help? |

| Try these fixes... Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version.... Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11 If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should
