Thanks for that. Great description of an ultrapeer.

However what is a peer? Just a plain "peer". The LW Connection screen shows:

0 Ultrapeers 23 Peers 0 Leaves

So what is a peer in that context, and how did I get to be one instead of an Ultrapeer? Or didn't I read that article well enough?

Thanks again

We are all Peers, but an Ultrapeer is decided on your connection, bandwidth and so on....

Here is a little more about how it all works...

OK thanks again for the help.

I think I will have to give up on trying to understand this.

I get what an ultrapeer is and how it works. I get what a leaf is and how it works. I don't get what a peer is. Why does the LW connection screen show THREE types of connection: ultrapeer, peer and leaf? Why a peer, not an ultrapeer, not a leaf but a peer?

Guess I am too stupid to work it out, so will have to accept it!
