Moved LW to New PC Now it wont fully connect?

1. OS version? ( Windows XP Home Edition)
2. What firewalls you have? Norton and Windows. Windows is turned off. Norton is not blocking it I checked..
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available? 283 GB
5. Connection type? ( cable)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? No router at the moment.
7. Where are you trying to connect from ( appartment )

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. 4.26 pro

9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Optonline and AOL

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It said your test worked

11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. No

12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New problem I have used LW for years

13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? NO


15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall Norton internet security.

16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). I live in the USA.

I moved limewire to my new PC as I said and it wont fully connect. I could not see the version of java on the limewire help version..

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Hi again,
I went to my CP and found the version of the Java I am now using which is
Java 2 Platform Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_06.-b05) Do you feel this could still be the problem keeping LW from connecting?

I'm 100% my firewall is not blocking it. I disabled windows firewall as soon as I got the new PC. I don't use spy zapper or any of the other AOL anti virus or security programs.
