Siege Force is flying high
Default Quality: Connecting...Connecting...Connecting

Here's my specs:

HP DV8000 Notebook Computer

2. Firewall(S): McAfee Security Center 2007, NOD32 (has some firewall features)
3. RAM: 2GB
4. Hard Disk space available: 80 GB+
5. Connection type: DSL (Home Office Grade)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers: Awire, unsure.

9. ISP: AT&T
10. Do this simple test for us: Your test worked!
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up: About 5 computers sharing at any one time, including a WII. One uses Utorrent, but all downloads are paused.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. 1'st try with LW PRO, [B****** BASIC VERSION WORKED BEFORE[/b]
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface: Don't see anything like whats shown...
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?: UPnP enabled
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc): NOD 32 and Mcafee (I know you're not supposed to have two... but I'm using a trial of NOD and I payed for Mcafee... Mc will be off soon)
16. What country are you living in? USA

Alright, so I used LW basic and it was alright, I could download, and I upgraded to LW pro... and now at the bottom it says: Quality: Connecting. It never gets any farther than that. I tried restoring all the defaults and reinstalling it.. no luck. Help?

*LW has full access according to my firewall*

So,...you have updated from Basic to Pro.....when was this..?

Cause the 4.8.1 version is a stone age version and you've definitely not updated that version recently.

Go to START>Search for Files and Folders and look for a folder called " .limwire " (yep, that dot in front of the word must be there) and include the hidden folders into the search. When you find it (while LW is completely closed, i.e. also in the system tray) delete it.

Then start LW again and see if it has any effect.

If it hasn't got any, I reckon uninstalling this old LW version via START>Programs>LimeWire>Uninstall and downloading the newest free basic version from here (updating your Java prior to that new installation would also be advisable using the JRE offline installer after you have uninstalled all other Java installation on your system):
Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent «
