Limewire freezes

I have uninstalled and reinstalled limewire versions 4.14.1 and limewire 4.12.6 several times each, but I still have the same problem with both versions everytime.

I'm also using Java(Tm)6 update 2, and I was using an earlier version of Java before that, but limewire support said to uninstall and reinstall limewire and java, so I have several times.


But here's what happens everytime. Once limewire is installed, and then it starts to run, then a Language Options Display pops up as to choose a language, but when you try to click on the arrow to select a language it locks up, and everything else on the display locks up too, so you can't even click on the continue or next button, because it locks up too.

I tried restarting the computer, but it still locks up the same way when I relaunch limewire. I actually have to click on control,alternate, & delete to click out of the display.

Please! Can anyone help me? I'm using a Hp computer using windows XP
