I just tried the Java 5 install and still it just gives 1 bar,it wont connect.I think its a serious problem.I never had problems with it before.
dont know wat else to do. i'm using version Lw 4.8.1 pro....can anyone help?

3. How much ram? =2.61 ghz 1.87 gb of ram physical add extension (compuyter = amd athlon 64 x2 dual cp 5200+
4. Hard Disk space available? in c: =about 150gb (4)
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) =cable lan
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? =motorola sb4200
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? =apt
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. =Lw 4.8.1 pro java 1.5.0_11
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?? =road runner
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? =says test worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. =no.just this computer
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.=used for about 3 yrs.had no problem,untill now
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? =no brick wall

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?i dont think it uses upnp enabled
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall =win defender
16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). =u.s ,n.y


just tried different versions of Java, tried 6,5,&1 but still not working.


i've just about tried everything , even the change port ,ip addresses that someone wrote about here.
nothings working.
i'm beginnig to think i been blocked by a server or sumthing.
if i cant get this limewire working again im about to throw this pc out the window.

iv'e read most of the answers to people connection problems.and tried alot of things out. I dont think its a problem with firewall.because it says limewire has full access allowed.
I usually know wat i'm doing . and have had lots of computer problems before to learn about.but this tops them.
i cant figure out how it has a problem now when it never had a problem b4.
it just looks like the program died.one bar.


I just istalled this version over my Lw pro and it works .I liked the 4.8.1 version but it dont work ,but i guess its better a live limewire than a dead one. Thanks to whoever posted this link.
