Default Lime won't connect.

I keep getting an error message stating that there is either no available internet connection or a firewall is blocking limewire. Now, I long ago added an exception to allow limewire through my firewall and It worked fine until I got my router. Now, this is a very new router and has no mention of a firewall being included.

Router model: D-Link EBR-2310

Can anyone help me?

Default Problems still

Thanks for the help, although I am still having problems.
1. I can't get a static IP to work.
2.I login to my router menu online to find fields that need to be filled in to open the port that I have no idea how to fill. Ex: Port start/end, application name, computer name.

Default LimeWire Won't Connect since Downloading new version

I'm not very computer savy and need need assistance with a connection issue. I downloaded version LimeWire 4.14.8 several weeks ago and started to experience connecting issues. I followed the instructions in the help section regarding FireWalls and I'm still not able to connect.

My specs are as follows:
  • Windows XP Professional connecting from home on a desktop
  • Vonage Motorolla Modem
  • WebStar modem thru Bright House Networks (Broad Band) speed 10.0 mbps
  • Belkin Wireless G Plus Router
  • Sharing Belkin router with my son's lab top in another room
  • Local area network connection states 'Connected Firewalled Realtek'
  • Windows fire wall exception box has a check mark in all 4 LimeWire boxes including LimeWire swarmed installer
  • I have AVG Anti Virus Free edition, Ad-Aware SE personal, Spybot search, Computer Cleaner installed on my computer
  • C: Drive, used space: 16.8GB, free space: 1.78GB
The Bright House technician set up all the routers and protected the Belkin router from the public and I'm not sure how to access it.

I appreciate any assistance.

Thank you.
