I use a Linksys wireless-g router on a windows xp sp1 computer with a p4 processor with 1gig of ram and a 120 gig hard drive... Now to the problem.
Whenever I start limewire, my internet connection intermittently loses connection and then reconnects. It is really annoying because it takes time to find the sources and all of that again. When LW is not started, I do not have this problem. Does it come from my router or what? Because I can download files, I just lose my connection ever 5 or so minutes. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

You can try these fixes...
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...This will reset your configurations back to default and get rid of any corruption that may of happened...
Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should

Also install PeerGuardian, it will help keep the fake hosts out...Remember to enable PG just before you start limewire up...
