What's goin on every1? I'm tryin 2 connect 2 my limewire but all I gettin is the brick in front of the globe. I tried everything other blogs had said 2 do but nothing. Can some1 please help me!!

5. Connection type (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) ? Broadband Local Area Network via DSL Modem
6.Modem what brand name & model numbers ? DSL Motorola E1016-A
7.Router brand name & model numbers ? Don't have a router
8. Where are you trying to connect from (house, apartment complex, school, student accommodation, work, etc.) ? House
9. What version,LimeWire & Java, are you using. Go to L/W's Help/About L/W, THIS show both LW & Java version.? Limewire 4.14.10 Java version 1.5.0 11
10. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider) ? Net@HomeXpress
11. Do this test click here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ should say 'Your test worked!. What happens ? The Test Worked
12. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. No sharing
13. Is this your 1st try at LW, or is this a new problem with an experienced user.? New Problem with experience user, had the problem 4 2 weeks
14. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface ? Yes
15. Have you given full permissions for LimeWire to pass through your Firewall ? Yes
16. XP users, Please state XP firewall on or off.? It's off
17. In Start & remove Programs, Is this update Installed, "Security Update for Windows XP (KB931261)" ? I Have KB893803
If Windows Updates are not seen, Tick the box at top of page, (show updates)
18. Are you using Manual Port faward in LimeWire OR UPnP ? Yes

Your University has most likely started blocking LW or p2p programs, or ports. Try step 4 in my previous post. You can also try Problems with the search. If still no good, try Phex (click on link) to see if you have the same problems.

Ensure your XP firewall is off. Try disabling McAffee firewall temporarily to see if it connects. If still no good, try these things (1) Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.). (2) Problems with the search
