Connection issues when using Java Access Bridge for screen reader accessability Hello forum, I'd really appreciate some help please. I've been using Limewire successfully for three years on my home PC. I'm currently using my lap-top, running XP Pro, java 6, update 3, limewire Pro and Java Access Bridge which enables LImewire to interact with JAWS, a screen reader for the blind. Limewire has been successfully installed, and is working fine for sighted users; the test recommended in the forums comes back, "the test works". However, when I install Java Access bridge, Limewire then says that some files are missing or invalid and that I should reinstall.. However, this issue only occurs when access bridge is installed; Limewire works fine if I uninstall Java Access bridge. This is quite perplexing as I have used Limewire quite successfully with Jaws, and access bridge on my home machine, whose only difference is that its running XP Home. As I said, any help would be greatly appreciated. Just using the standard windows firewall; but as i said, all works fine with connection and search features, until I install Java Access bridge, so JAWS will read the screen for me. |
I don't know if this is going to help (sounds like a different issue)...this other poster found that their LW wouldn't run at all when using Java Access Bridge. Check out these threads anyway, there might be something to help. LimeWire Forums http://www.gnutellaforums.com/window...installed.html |
