![]() Forgive me, but I didnt know where else to post - I have read the 3 stickys and they all deal with connection problems. My problem is when LW (basic) starts up, the "get limewire pro" box pops up with the lime spinning round & round and the 3 boxes yes, later, & why, or something like that, and then the program freezes. I have to go to my windows task manager to shut it down. This happens no matter if I am connected to the internet or not. This just started this week. LW has worked for months and months just fine before now. My friend downloaded LW this week for the first time and she has the same problem. She has uninstalled and reinstalled with no solution. ![]() We're using Windows XP, we have plenty RAM & hd space, LW version 4.14.5. I'd like to know if we're the only ones with this problem, and of course any suggestions to a solution. Thank you to everyone who takes time to read this. |

![]() I read some more and went in and deleted the LW preferences folder. When I opened LW, it started up fine and connected to 5 bars quickly, then froze up again. I shut it down in the task manager again, and now I have the same problem as I mentioned above. |

![]() Try installing java 5.0 u11. With LW completely shut down. Go to the add/remove programs control panel and uninstall all versions of java listed. Then download and install J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 11: Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11(use the offline installer)
