Hi I logged on to this site today to find ou what was wrong with my limewire. It has been going great and I have downloaded quite a lot of my favourite music, but last night I couldn't open it . I kept double clicking on the icon on my desk top. I even right clicked and tried to open it but nothing . please can anyone out there help an amatuer??!!!!

Try going to start menu > Programs > LW & see if it starts. If not, go to Programs folder, find LW folder, open it & then double click the LW program directly. If it opens, it means your shortcuts are corrupted. In that case delete your other LW shortcuts & go to LW program & right click & choose create shortcut.

If LW program does not open at all after trying above, then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point # 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) Eventually got it to open by uninstalling Java and limewire then reinstalling both, but have another prob when I pu an artist in to to search it dosn't bring anything up for me to download any thoughts on this one
