Limewire stuck during loading

Everytime I try to load limewire it gets to 12% saying "loading HTML engine," but never moves past that point. I was using it a few days ago and everything was working fine but, now I have no idea what's wrong. I've tried reinstalling it, but that wasn't any help.

Any suggestions?

Try these tips....

Try deleting your preference folder/s...This will reset your configurations back to default and get rid of any corruption that may of happened...

Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....

Try right-clicking the Limewire icon and going to properties and change compatability setting to Windows 2000. (but only if you're using Windows 2000 or later.) Somebody reported changing to Windows NT compatibility fixed their problem despite not using that operating system version.

Right-click on the Limewire icon on the desktop and click on Run as. Then it should come up showing the current user and then switch it over to Administrator. (but 'only' if you're the admin of your comp.!)
