Yep, Connection Problems

When I start a download, It gets about 80% of the way through and the download stops. A few seconds later the Connection status switches to Starting Connection. To recover, I have to power off the router. I can't ping anything once the connection is interupted. I think I have tried everything posted, Maybe I missed something. If someone could help I would appreciate it.

OK, I thought My Firewall was Norton, but when I turn it off, the firewall is still there in LW. The windows FW is turned off as well. I can't find anything else in the Program Files Folder that looks remotely like a FW. The only thing I can find running is Norton in the MSCONFIG Services Tab. Any Ideas, Is there a website that I can go to and run a test and I tell me what FW is running.

Thanks

See whether any of this advice helps.
Reduce the drag caused by LW

To disable ultrapeer capabilities in new versions, tools > options > advanced > performance. While you're there, also disable Mojito DHT capabilities.

If none of that helps, try port forwarding for your router. The instructions are here.
Port Forwarding for the Linksys WRT54G
LW's listening port, port in the 'manual port forward' box & port forwarded within the router config pages should all be the same number;)

Why isn't there a patch for Limewire to solve the disconnect to the internet problem during downloading. I am paying for limewire pro, Limewire should provide a coverall patch to solve all these problems.
