Default Limewire Connection Fix

I, Like many others, had the problem of not being able to even connect to the Gnutella network using Limewire. I had the latest version and a pro subscription. I had previously had no other problems in the past.

Then yesterday I tried for 4 hours, on a fresh install, to connect using Limewire, Nothing. So after 24 hours of headache and hearing complaints and Limewire seemingly not giving a ****, I decided to release a fix that works for me and a few friends of mine. It's really of no credit to myself. Thanks to everyone here.

First, you need to go to kdev.us and begin reading. There you will find what you need to get your Limewire back on track and connecting. I finally have a turbo charged connection again! And you should too whether you are a free user or a pro subscriber. Limewire should also be addressing this issue. Anyone remember when Skype did this same ****? It was nearly curtains for them! I do not want to see any negativity towards Limewire or any of its staff, but I'm at a loss here as to why they haven't applied fixes to the software and to the negative PR. Maybe one day they'll clear it up.

Try the advice in the thread below. There's info about replacing the gnutella.net file, plus other things to try. If nothing works, post back with your system details.
