| Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

Ok, how about if you download a version 4.10 (see the link in one of my other posts) & see if that one will at least load...that way we know it's a version-related issue.
If that older version will load, we can work on any connection problems you might be having. Or, if you're completely pissed-off with LW by now & never want to see it again  you could try Phex or Bearshare...they both connect to the Gnutella network (same as LW). If you're interested, there are links for download below.Phex BearShare

4.10 opens but doesn't connect..
I'll try phex (already tried bearshare didn't connect either) but if i don't like the interface i'd still liketo try and get limewire running

If you do decide you'd like to get LW working, try the advice below. If nothing there helps, post back with your system details. Check the thread below for info about the details that we need.
