Try the fixes in the post below. If nothing there helps, post back with your modem/router brand & model.

What,s important is. Are you downloading stuff? On one bar you can do searches, I get this at times and get more downloads (250KB) and at times it says turbo and I get 10-15 KB. I don't Know if thats good or not, but only trying to add to the pool.

Is that an internal modem? Do you have an external modem or router that plugs into your computer, or that you connect to wirelessly (with the modem/router in another room)?

When you replaced the gnutella.net file & deleted the preferences folder, did you make sure that LW was properly closed first? And did you look for a preferences folder in both the old & new locations?
Go & find the gnutella.net file within the preferences folder...what size is the file (hover your cursor over the file & the size will show)?

I see you're still using Java 1.5.0_06...did you ever try either Java version shown in the 'if LW will not connect' thread??

You could try changing ports. In LW tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Change LW's listening port to 65000 (or other ports in the range of 49152 - 65535) > apply > ok.

Its an internal modem. Its a brand new computer i dont have any external things hooked up to it.

I made sure that lw was properly closed, and i dont know how to look for a perference folder, i didnt know i needed to.
Size - 20.7 KB

I went to both of those web sites, but on both of them there were multiply downloads and some of the instructions were kinda confuseing so i didnt try that step. It might work if i how to properly do it.

And i did try to change ports, i used 65000 and nothing happened it still only got me one bar.

PS The little green oval in the bottom left on my home LW screen always says 118 in side of it, if that helps at all.

If LW Will Not Connect
When I said to try the fixes in that thread then I assumed that you would actually try them. Am I completely wasting my time here?
If you go to the Java site to download, there's only one JRE & then you have the choice of online or offline installation. The thread I linked you to tells you to download the JRE offline installer.

If you don't know how to look for a preferences folder then you didn't even read the link that I posted. It's all there with basic, step-by-step instructions.

I give up. Good luck with your LW.
