cannot find a listening port
Your Operating System - Windows xp
Your version of your Gnutella Client - unsure Your Internet connection (56K, Cable, DSL) - wifi provided by the apt complex The exact error message, if one pops up - Limewire was unable to set up a port to listen for incoming connections. Some features of limewire may not work as expected. I HAVE HAD LIMEWIRE BEFORE ON THE SAME COMPUTER BUT I WAS HOOKED UP THROUGH THE CABLE COMPANY USING ROAD RUNNER NOW I AM USING WIFI FOR FREE THROUGH MY APT COMPLEX I HAVE EXCELLENT INTERNET CONNECTION AND SIGNAL STRENGTH IM NMOT SURE IF MY OLD PREFERENCES ARE PLAYING A ROLE IN MY PROBLEM. I DELETED THE OLD VERSION OF THE PROGRAM USING UNINSTALL AND THEN DELETED IT FROM MY REGISTRY THERE WERE NO LIMEWIRE FILES. THEN I DOWNLOADED BASIC AGAIN INSTALLED AND I CANNOT CONNECT BECAUSE NO LISTENING PORTS CAN BE FOUND IS THIS A PROBLEM WITH THE NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR? I AM TRYING TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR DELETING OLD PREFERENCES USING GNUTELLA FILE. ALSO EXTRA INFO. THAT MAY BE OF USE IS WHEN TRYING TO RE INSTALL LIMEWIRE i WAS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH ROOT MAGNET 10 I CANNOT DELET THIS FILE IS THIS CAUSING AN ISSUE PLEASE HELP THANK U!
