 Sudden Connect Problems OS version?Windows XP2. What firewalls you have? How much ram? 1 Gig Hard Disk space available? 250 Gig with 129 Gig free Connection type? Broadband Where are you trying to connect from Home, one PC What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LimewirePro version 4.12.6 and Java 1.6.0_03 Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Time Warner Aol/RoadRunner 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Test worked fine. McAfee anti-virus and firewall is in place, with Limewire allowed. OK here is sudden problem. Always connected fine till this week. Now all i get is 3 bars with a FAIR connection and no search capabilities. I have tried to email LW customer service and after 4 attempts, still have not heard back from them. I purchased the Pro edition in May of 2006. Is this their attempt for me to repurchase the software? Any help would be appreciated, thanks and Happy Holidays.  |
