open explorer.

and then you should see lime wire

* if you cannot see application data at this stage then click at the top menu
Tools

view
and make sure now your showing hidden files

Give it a go and let us know ...

Was LW completely closed when you replaced the file? Did you restart your computer before starting up LW? Hover your mouse over the gnutella.net file...what size is the file?

Did you ever try using an older version of Java? In the 'if LW will not connect' thread, there's a link to download Java 1.5.0_11. Use the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java version before installing the older version.

Try doing the port 6346 test again...if that test doesn't work, it can sometimes mean that an ISP is blocking certain ports. Did you try a few port numbers in the range that I gave you earlier?

You could also try port forwarding for your SpeedStream. The instructions are here.
Port Forwarding for the Siemens 4200
Don't forget the step of setting up a static IP address first. LW's listening port , port in the 'manual port forward' box & port forwarded within the router setup should all be the same number.

You're talking to a rookie here. I will try my best to do what you have asked.
