![]() Are you on a router or a wired connection? If you are using a router, I don't think that you can download files through limewire.... I'm not overly sure on this I'm afraid. But I know that when I use a wired connection, mine works. When I use a router, I cannot find anything, let alone download it. |

![]() Have you tried checking firewall to see if it's blocking anything? When you first brought up limewire, did you select no when it asked if you would like to download? If you did, this will be stopping you. Failing this, I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling it. |

![]() Was LW completely closed when you replaced the file? Did you restart your computer before starting up LW? Hover your mouse over the gnutella.net file...what size is the file? Did you ever try using an older version of Java? In the 'if LW will not connect' thread, there's a link to download Java 1.5.0_11. Use the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java version before installing the older version. Try doing the port 6346 test again...if that test doesn't work, it can sometimes mean that an ISP is blocking certain ports. Did you try a few port numbers in the range that I gave you earlier? You could also try port forwarding for your SpeedStream. The instructions are here. Port Forwarding for the Siemens 4200 Don't forget the step of setting up a static IP address first. LW's listening port , port in the 'manual port forward' box & port forwarded within the router setup should all be the same number. |
