It may be Vista. I dunno but surely someone does. I have tried everything and I dunno why it won't work. I really wish someone would help me though cause i'm pretty much computer illiterate.

Smile had also same problem

i have windows vista on my desktop and daughter's laptop and had same problem on both of them till i found and fix the problem, was not the windows vista, was my inbound and outbound was not accepting the firewall, since i allowed firewall accept it,my limewire works well,we can download music and enjoy music and dance the hours away, why don't you check your inbound and outbound on your administrative tool,go where says firewall advanced and security,it might work,it did for us,good luck.

Thumbs up

Here is the instruction to see if your inbound and outbound is accepting by firewall, this is only for windows vista, perhaps can go to other windows, but i am not sure, cause i know you have it,so follow the way i know, even it has another way to go.

1-START
2-HELP AND SUPPORT,click on it and will open a small screen and type ADMINISTRATIVE TOOL on search bar, then will say WHAT ARE ADMINISTRATIVE TOOL,click on it,then click where says Click To Open Administrative Tool,it will open another screen and will show few options to choice, double click where says WINDOWS FIREWALL WITH ADVANCED SECURITY,a screen opens and from there you will see DOMAIN PROFILE,PRIVATE PROFILE AND PUBLIC PROFILE,click your profile, private or public, what ever you have and then you see the inbound and outbound,it will show what you want to do,block or allow, just click ALLOW,your profile needs to have all green check marks ok,hope this helps you.

Please read the sticky threads at the top of page 1 (see image below)
-- these are working aids/guides to help you re-connect.
They are made up by some very clever people -- I see that you have
already read and filled in your systems details which is good
if you still have problems after going through these fixes let us know
