No Search results-connection message?

Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

No Search results-connection message?

Hello all,
I'm new to limewire and I'm not very good with computers. So I'll give all the info about my problem I can.

Every time I try to search something a message pops up that says 'Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network."

The Limewire button spins and it looks like it's working but NO results pop up.

I have Windows 98 and my connection type is cable. I think I also have norton antivirus installed.

Anyway, I've read all the directions about updating java and deleting the LW preferences folder, but I'm totally lost. Any help is greatly appreciated.
