my limewire cannot get a better than starting connection

I have limewire pro and my limewire connection always stays at starting connection which prevents me from searching successfully for anything, at first I thought it may be my firewall, however when I turned of my firewall it still didn't work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program a number of times however it doesn't change a thing. I also cannot use frostwire for it has the same connection status.

If anyone knows what the problem is, post you solution, it will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
