Sounds strange about the printer. Don't know why that should have any effect on Limewire, but you could always try and uninstall the printer and then try Limewire to see if that may be the culprit.
BitTorrent you should check google for. Try things like "What is BitTorrent" or "How do I use"+torrent .. things like that.
