Hi everyone!
I have searched pretty much every website, and tried every little fix out there, but I can not connect to the Gnutella network!. I tried that test site on LimeWire.com, and according to that, my ISP (charter) isn't blocking p2p. I'm now using FrostWire (since its pretty much LimeWire pro, only blue). I have Java 6 update 5. I'm using Norton 360 as my firewall, and I have been opening frostwire as an administrator (in order to bypass UAC) Specs: Toshiba A205 laptop Intel Core2 Duo 1.7ghz(x2) 2048mb ram 120gb hard drive (60gb free) connected through wireless g Intel PROWireless 3495abg Router: NETGEAR wpn824 v2 (w/latest firmware) FrostWire 4.13.5 (latest) i just don't know what to do anymore! When i look at the connections, it tries to connect, and drops them after about 3 seconds. Then, it completely stops trying to attemps, and says I have a turbo-charged connection, but i am really only connected to 4 servers. after waiting a few minutes, i get this error message: and not just one, but hundred of these errors. i had to take the batt. out of my computer to shut it down... so any help would be greatly appreciated! i love downloading songs with this because its so fast, and i can't live without it! -james |

Would you happen to have a bigger version of that error. It's so tiny that even after downloading it and opening and enlarging in PhotoSnap, it is impossible to read.

I solved my problem when I eventually discovered that my router also had a built-in firewall. Do you have admin access to your netgear? You may find something in the security settings which may reveal all?

If you are receiving Microsoft's Software Distribution Service 3.0 downloads automatically, your problem may be stemming from that. See my response to Sweetnsassy in this folder.
