![]() Most wireless router's are built/programmed with a homepage that you must navigate to. So it's technically not on the internet, but in the router itself. You must find the address (to type into your browser) for the router. Do this by going to your "start menu", and select "run". In the small "run" window that appears where it asks what you want to open, type in "CMD" - an abbreviation to get to the command prompt. A black window appears, type in "IPCONFIG" without the quotes and press enter. Note that line that reads "Default gateway" - that is the address to you router. Plug it into your browser.. normally it's like 168.192.#.# format for most routers. So in the browser you'd put like "http://192.168.#.#" That should take you to your router homepage. From there you need to login...your are your own from that point, so if you don't know the login info, you might have to find the little pin hole on the router to reset it back to factory settings with the default user info...normally like Login: "administrator" , pw="password" , screen shot Good luck. |
