here's some info sir

1. OS version? windows vista(admin)
2. What firewalls you have? kaspersky internet security
3. How much ram? 1gb (500+mb used)
4. Hard Disk space available? 40gb
5. Connection type? broadband (384 kbps)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from house
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW pro 4.18.1
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? nothing it just says 'Your test worked!'.
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? nope
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. nope
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? kaspersky internet security
16. What country are you living in? philippines.

1. Make sure your VISTA firewall is turned off.
2. make sure a firewall rule has been allowed for LW to have full access thru your Kaspersky firewall.
(turn Kapersky firewall off temporarily & see if LW connects, if yes, then you will need to make a firewall rule for LW.)

If possible, try to find details of your ISP & modem/router. Most routers have internal NAT which can block LW, question is whether it has UPnP & whether it works efficiently.

1. the vista's FW is turned off, although i'm having a hard time to figure out how to let kaspersky allow limewire's access. i used to have a good connection on my limewire but these past few days it won't let me to.

1. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

hi
i was just wondering, what does it mean when http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ doesn't work for me? Mine just says time out... i have the same problem as i can't connect onto the network. it's very frustrating

I'm to having the same problem but unsure what to do
 
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) If using Windows Vista, please tell us whether you have an Administrator user account. XP Home Edition
2. What firewalls you have? unsure
3. How much ram? 37.2GB
4. Hard Disk space available? 7.0GB
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Broadband Via Ethernet Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? unsure
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)house
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. 4.18.1
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)Virgin Media

16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). United Kingdom

I fixed it! i didn't know that i had a firewall on my modem. once i configured it and opened the port for limewire, it worked.:xirokrotima:
