How do I get rid of a firewall that is stopping me from searching in LimeWire?

It connected fine a couple of days ago, now there is a firewall....can any one help me?

1 window vista ( the computer is a acer)
2 windows firewall n i have norton internet security
3?????
4 acer c: 104 gb free of 145 gb n data d: 145 gb free of 145 gb
5 i have high speed internet its verizon high speed internet
6 model 6100 verizon ***
7 house
8 verizon high speed internet
9 LW 4.18.3 java 1.6.0_02
10 it says that the internet cannot display that page
11 no i only have 1 computer n i dont kno wat p2p means so i guess no
12 no i had LW before but it stop workin and i deleted n im tryin it again but its steeel not working so i decided to try to fix it

WEN I OPEN IT A WHITE SCREEN WITH NUMBERS AND LETTER APPERS

1. Make sure VISTA firewall is turned off.

2. Configure Norton to allow LW or FW full access: Configuring Norton Internet Security

3. For some reason the default port 6346 is totally blocked for you. Question is whether it's due to your ISP or your personal ISP settings such as firewall/security settings, or something to do with your router/modem or software firewall.

4. p2p = peer to peer; from one user to another.

Sharing between two or more users.

5. Are you sure your modem/router is not a Westell? eg: Westell6100

6. Go to LW or FW's menu bar, Tools > Options > Advanced > Firewalls, and change both connection & listening ports to a higher one between 49152 - 65535 (64049 is a good one to try.) Then go to File menu -> Connect. (May need to set to Manual Port forward in options)
