Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.
(not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

![]() I download Limewire 4.9.37 I have Win XP Pro I use McAfee I have DSL MSN thru Quest Action Tec DSL Gateway router 2 gig ram I shut off Windows firewall by double clicking my McAfee and then Manage security setting for Windows Firewall and then the Windows Firewall box came up and I clikc on Off ( not recommended) Then ( and it was late at night) I some how found a function within McAfee to turn off the firewall for a setting of 15 min up to 60 mins (( can not seem to find that now, but .... )) I set it for 60 min Then started LimeWire Note the little brick wall in lower left indicating I am still firewall protected Then picked Audio Selected a title And get Limewire is currently connecting to the network, Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network I know and have read the many, many connection problems and have tried many of the imput suggestions but with no success I am asking for details on how to.... again thank you for your imput and I look forward to your assistance.
