I've been using LimeWire for over a year and now I am having problems connecting. I have one "green bar" and the brickwall in front of the globe. Why is this now happening? Could it be because I installed a new version of Norton? (which I've turned off to see if that would hep, it didn't? Here is my info. Hope you can help get me back on track. 1. OS version? Definitely with each new version of either LW or Norton, you need to remove the previous firewall rule for LW & add a fresh one. ;) Make sure your Windows XP firewall is disabled. Norton & windows firewalls do clash resulting in unpredictable results including less security not more security. |
I went into ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS and saw that there were sevral "updates of Java" so I just deleted the old ones and there was something else that had some updates. Once I deleted them, everything was owrking fine... don't know why, but it is. |
