I have read several of others messages about this problem and tried the solutions suggested but I still need help. I've been using LimeWire for over a year and now I am having problems connecting. I have one "green bar" and the brickwall in front of the globe. Why is this now happening? Could it be because I installed a new version of Norton? (which I've turned off to see if that would hep, it didn't? Here is my info. Hope you can help get me back on track.

1. OS version? Windows XP
2. What firewalls you have? Windows and Norton, windows is OFF
3. How much ram? Plenty
4. Hard Disk space available? Plenty
5. Connection type? DSL
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? SpeedStream by Siemens
7. Where are you trying to connect from? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? Limewire 4.16.6
Pro Java ?
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Windstream, use to be Bellsouth
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It said my test worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? No
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user? new problem
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? _ Yes, but have checked firewall settings and turned them off
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? Hmm not sure about that
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Norton 360
16. What country are you living in? USA
