I moved to Mississippi a couple of months ago and when I did I had to change from suddenlink to cableone. My limewire had worked fine before I moved. As soon as I got here, the brick came in front of the globe and said limewire was blocked by a firewall.
Since then I have spent hours reading other peoples problems like this and trying to do the same things they were told in order to fix it. NOTHING has worked. ![]() I have changed ports, made lw and gnutella port an exception on windows firewall, called my isp (they said they were not blocking limewire), all sorts of things. I did the test and it said that limewire was not blocked by windows firewall but another firewall. I dont have any other firewalls!!! ![]() I do not use a router and the only other programs that I have that might be interfering are webroot spy sweeper and trendmicro anti virus. Which I have looked all through both of those looking for a solution to my problem and I havent found anything. Besides, I had those before I moved and lw worked. I have deleted lw and also removed it and readded it to the exceptions list. What in the world could be wrong with this thing?!?!? ![]() ![]() Im dying without my music

Ok it's more than likely your ISP that is blocking you from connecting to limewire ...
Review of CableOne - dslreports.com But you may still like to try Port Forwarding... Now you do have a Modem, you may not have a router but you have to have a modem...It's the thing that you plug your internet into...If you turn it upside down you will see the name and model number for it....I need this information, so I can give you your instructions on Port Forwarding...
