| OK, thanks for the info. I followed the instructions. My Computer already has a static IP address of 192.168.2.5. I choose a port # 59998. On my modem set-up, I did as it said, Service Type: TCP/UDP; Starting Port: 59998; Ending Port 59998; Server IP address: (it came up with 192.168.2.__; I input a 5 into the last place. I then re-started the computer, modem and router. then I restarted LW, and still the same thing. 1 small bar of connection, and nothing else. I also then tried http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ and still nothing. |

| I really think it's your ISP and if it is there will be nothing you can do except to change to another that doesn't block P2P.... You could try these fixes just in case though.... http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html

| Even though i've been told by at least 4 people from Verizon that my modem DOES NOT HAVE A FIREWALL, well I stumbled onto it just the other day, I typed in the IP address of my modem, and there it was.... and it was set to HIGH. I turned it off, and BOOM, everything works great. I even spoke to a Verizon after this, and they denied there was a Firewall, And I tell them It is there, or was, and they talk to me like i'm a nutjob!!! So much for their tech support team... |
