If you do have a scam version of LW - sorry, but we don't offer support for those
My mistake. I do have Limewire Pro purchased from LW. Gold is the purchased version of MediaMonkey. I use them together and just used the wrong name. The rest of my post is accurate.

Not sure, but you may need to make sure they use different ports to connect through. Usually two programs trying to connect thru the same port will cause router problems, reserving a port for one of them. Not sure of the difference between the programs though. Chances are in UPnP mode they use separate ports.

I didn't mean that they do the same function, just that I use Limewire for P2P and MediaMonkey to organize my music. They don't conflict in any way that I'm aware of and have always worked fine when running at the same time. (If LW worked as well and reliably as MediaMonkey does, I'd be very satisfied.)

My issue is strictly with LW's random failure to connect to the network. It's a major issue for a lot of LW users and has been a known issue for a long time. The LW developers need to figure out why it happens, then devise a solution rather than expect all of us to become LW mechanics.

I spent 4 hours yesterday being a LW mechanic and couldn't get it to connect. Finally, in frustration, I shut LW down, ate dinner and watched some TV. This morning I started LW and it connected in seconds. Go figure !
