![]() I have been using limewire for years. Now I cannot get past the 1 greenbar and obviously cannot connect to the network. My operating system is windows Vista. I have turned off the windows firewall & also have turned off Trend micro completely. Limewire still shows a firewall active & will not connect. I have uninstalled Limewire completely & reinstalled it. I still am not able to connect. Do you have any suggestions? |

![]() I've been a Gold user for a couple of years now and I'm getting real tired of this particular issue. I can go months without a single instance, then all of a sudden, I can't connect. Sometimes it starts after installing a new version and other times for no apparent reason. I've found that no single/combination of solution(s) in the "if you can't connect" area works consistently. In fact, in most instances, it goes away all by itself in a few days. I'm quite willing to pay for the Gold version, but I expect it to work reliably. I won't keep jumping through all these hoops just to get the software to do what it's supposed to do. If this issue isn't solved by the time I need to renew my Gold subscription, I won't be renewing any more. |

My issue is strictly with LW's random failure to connect to the network. It's a major issue for a lot of LW users and has been a known issue for a long time. The LW developers need to figure out why it happens, then devise a solution rather than expect all of us to become LW mechanics. I spent 4 hours yesterday being a LW mechanic and couldn't get it to connect. Finally, in frustration, I shut LW down, ate dinner and watched some TV. This morning I started LW and it connected in seconds. Go figure ! |
