Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.
(not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

![]() It seems that I cannot connect completely...only one green bar shows up. 1. OS version? Windows Vista - Admin Account 2. What firewalls you have? McAfee (on) Windows Defender (off) 3. How much ram? 2038 MB 4. Hard Disk space available? 60.4 GB 5. Connection type? Wireless modem 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? modem: at&t 2 wire gateway 2701hg-b. (no router) 7. Where are you trying to connect from? Home 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? Limewire 4.18.6 and Java 1.6.0_07 9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? at&t 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It said Your test worked!! 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. Yes, the other computer is the same exact one. 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. i've used it before on the same computer, same isp, but we just moved and hasn't worked since. 13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes _yy 14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? I have no idea.... 15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Like I said, Mcafee and windows defender... 16. What country are you living in? USA 17. Has anything in your setup changed recently? Have you updated your version of LW or Java? Moved, updated LW and Java thanks in advance to anyone that can help! ![]() NEVERMIND! I deleted the preferences folder and I have all green bars! What happens when you go there? It says page load error: network timeout 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? Not that i am aware of 12. I also have 1 green bar. I have tried deleting the preferances folder, but that did not work |
