Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.
(not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

![]() Hello, I have been trying to connect to Limewire for weeks, actually got it to work once, but that was it. I've gone through the steps that the limewire tech said to do. 1. What security programs are you running on your computer, and did you add exceptions for LimeWire.exe? ANSWER: Charter High-Speed Security Suite, and yes I added an exception for LimeWire.exe. 2.Are you using a router? If so, did you configure the firewall or port forwarding? ANSWER: no router 3.Does your modem contain a firewall?ANSWER: no 4.Does your ISP block peer-to-peer file sharing?ANSWER: no 5.Do you connect through a proxy?ANSWER:no 6.After performing a clean re-installation, did you see any hosts in the Connections tab? ANSWER: no. 7.Did you replace your gnutella.net file? If so, did you see hosts in the Connections tab after replacing the file? ANSWER: yes i replaced gnutella.net files and i see host now 8.What were their statuses?ANSWER: Connecting.... then they reset....have let it set for hours at a time.
