![]() ok, so apparently my wireless router has a firewall, so i had to do manual port forwarding and configure it with my router as well. if u have a linksys, i can help you with that. if not, just do what i did... do a live chat with technical support for the router and they walk you through it step by step |

![]() I am having problems connecting to Limewire too. I never had a problem until recently. Please help if you can. I have tried numerous things on previous posts. I have a cable modem and Linksys router. Let me know if you can help. thanks!!! |

![]() I know we have the same problem. My Limewire works fine whenconnected directly to my cable modem but when the linksys, wireless G router is put in line, Limewire detects a firewall. I have had some problems with the router allowing multiple computers to access it but soved them with Cisco--it was a long process getting thropugh to them however, and I'd really appreciate and help avoiding that enourmous company. I have no idea how to tell the router to cut it out and let me share files. I'm running OX 10.5.5 on a duel g4 powr PC based mac. Thanks for your help |

![]() If you have a look underneath your linksys router you should see the model number, can you tell us what it is so we can get you the instructions you need to port forward...
