Danco is flying high
Default Anti-virus screwed up Limewire

Well, the other day I ran Yahoo anti-spy and it erased a bit of my Lime wire pro before I could stop it. Now when I try to start the program I get this msg.

LimeWire version 4.18.8 Pro
Java version 1.6.0_07 from Sun Microsystems Inc.
Windows Vista v. 6.0 on x86
Free/total memory: 31317816/33357824

STARTUP ERROR!

I assume I need to reinstall but the link I got whwn I bought pro expired on the 17th. Ive gotten no response from limewire support (it asks for my email but when I enter it nothing happens). Is there a way to contact Lime-wire directly? I cant seem to find any contact info. If it was the free verion it would be no big deal but since I paid for pro I feel I should get some help. Any suggestions would be great.

'Some' anti spyware programs & surprisingly some major companies of adopted such, are designed 'against' p2p sharing programs despite they do not have spyware. Thus, answer for future is to put LW on the safe list, else don't run it or look for an alternative & there are many other alternatives that are safe to run with LW. A list of safe ones we recommend are here WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! (click on blue link) though there are also others out there that are safe with LW & do a good job.

Answer? Reinstall.

LW Pro support lasts 6 months, so you will have an email from them with a link to your personal download page. Check it & then bookmark that page.
If you never received any such email then you probably did not purchase pro from the official site but perhaps a scam site that gave you a link to the LW basic version.
