Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

![]() Hi, I have an antivirus/firewall called Kaspersky Internet Suite, 2008. In the program settings, I've enabled full use of the current Limewire program that I have installed. When I try to connect, it still says "Connecting" at the bottom left hand corner of the program. There is no error message that displays. I then disabled my (Kaspersky) antivirus/firewall completely and tried to re-connect. Under the "Connections" tab, it still shows 10 connections trying to connect, but nothing happens other than the status reading "Connecting." Can someone help me troubleshoot this? Thanks. OS: Windows XP Pro Antivirus/Firewall: Kaspersky Internet Suite, 2008 MS Office 2003 (Current on updates) Version of Limewire: 4.18.6 Internet Connection Speed: Cable (T2) |

![]() Have you just started having this problem after updating LW? If so, delete LW's preferences folder. Instructions in this link: If LW Will Not Connect If not, try deleting or replacing the gnutella.net file. Instructions also in the link above. If that doesn't help, try the other fixes in the link above. If nothing there helps, please post back with your system details. |
