No connection..help for a non comp whiz

Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

The first thing to try is deleting LW's preferences folder. Have a look at this thread for detailed instructions (click on link): If LW Will Not Connect
Make sure that LW's properly closed first. After you delete LW's preferences folder, you should go through the setup wizard all over again

If that doesn't help, try the other fixes in that thread. Just go through them slowly

And let us know if there were any fixes that you had trouble with, or didn't want to try.

If nothing there helps, we need your system details. That help thread has info about which details we need.
