Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

![]() i have read through a bunch of posts and tried everything that was recommended and i am still stuck. someone please help me! lw connects but only the first bar turns green, not all of them. 1. windows xp 2. windows firewall 3. 504 mb ram 4. 48.7 gb free space 5. high speed 6. motorala (?) 7. my house 8. lw 4.18.8, java 1.6.0_-5 9. clearwire 10. my test worked 11. normally the internet is hooked up to my boyfriends computer, however i unplugged it to connect to the internet with my laptop. 12. i have had limewire for years and never had a problem. i had recent viruses on my computer so i had to uninstall a lot of things and reinstall them. maybe i missed something? i also used to use wireless and connected off of someone (not sure who). i recently got clearwire. 13. there is a brick wall on top of the globe 14. i dont know what this question is asking (i'm not familiar with comp wording) 15. i have AVG Free Edition 16. USA 17. i went to start lw and it wasnt connecting so i updated my version. that didnt work so i completely uninstalled it and then reinstalled it. neither worked (obviously or i wouldnt be here) |

![]() uninstall LW and do a search for all folders left behind...manually delete those and then do a reinstall....obviously there is the folder in Program Files, and then there is the folder in root(most likely C):\documents and settings\all users\*username*\application data and also the one in All Users...you will need to enable view of hidden files via start>control panel>folder options>view>show hidden files and folders...there is also the saved files folder to delete (move the files you want before you delete!) the above locations may not be exactly correct as I haven't used LW in ages....
