I loaded Limewire Basic on my PC and I am getting the following message when i try to connect
"Your Save folder is not valid. It may have been deleted, you do not have permission to write to it, or there may be another problem. Please choose different folder." Upon clicking OK, I am directed to select another folder, but no other folder will work. I cannot get any furether than this. What is the problem? |

Are you making sure to click Apply > ok after you choose a new save folder?
Close LW & make sure that it's completely closed (check in Task Manager - if there's a LW process running, end the process). Now delete LW's preferences folder... see point 3 here & also point 2 if you've ever used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location). Fixes for LimeWire This will change all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later. |

I've seen that message before! Although haven't had problems selecting another path. If anything above doesn't work, have you tried uninstalling & re-installing limewire?

I've had the same thing pop up, on newer versions. 4.12.6 pro works fine, but if i upgrade i get the save folder is invalid message. i go back to the older version i have and it works again.
