![]() Port 6346 is blocked for you. If it's not Comcast then it will probably be your wireless router, though your firewall might also be blocking it. Software Firewalls usually only block incoming, not outgoing. However there are exceptions. I can give you the instructions for Port forwarding if you are interested in trying. 1. The very first step & this must be done first is setting up a static ip; Vista static ip instructions (click on link). 2. Port Forwarding for the Motorola SBG 900. The instructions for LW 5 are same except it's found in a different location: go to tools > options > advanced > super really advanced > firewalls, to find this option. ![]() ![]() 3. For mcaffee; Setting up an exception for LimeWire in your software firewall (click in link). If using McAffee firewall, make sure Vista firewall is disabled. * btw you do not have to choose port 6346. You could try an alternative one. Such as any between 49152 - 65535. eg: 64049 But just make sure whichever port you choose is reciprocated in LW's settings & your mcaffee firewall if it requires a port setting for LW. OH another point, if the other computer in the house is also using LW, if it were using the same port, this might be the reason for the port not working thru the router. ![]() |
