What happens when you try to download? Do files show up in the download section below search results?? Or do files show up in the download area but not actually download at all (eg is the download stalled from the beginning)?

If you'd told us that you couldn't delete the gnutella.net file originally (post #3, you said that you'd "done all the suggestions") then you could've saved yourself days of frustration.

It's ok if people have trouble with a fix but they need to tell us... we can't read minds

I ended up shutting everything down, restarted my computer and LW and it started downloading. Thanks again

i also have windows vista. i have mcafee set up to allow limewire and it is saying i do not have an internet conncetion i have uninstalled and reinstaled many times. i have a cable motem its a sientific alantic, my limewire used to work fine but now i have tried everything and can not find out how to get it to conect. please help me

Otherwise, try the other fixes in the first help thread - start off by deleting LW's preferences folder. If you're still stuck, please post back with your system details as shown in the help thread.

i had lw 4 for over a year and it stopped working out of no where. So i thought i had renew it and i got lw 5 and it still doesnt work. I ive tried reading all these forums and doing what it says but still no luck. I'd really apreaticate if someone could help me. I want to waste my 35 dollars on some thing that doesnt work. It says no internet connection on the bottom left. And when you first enter the program it says network error there might be a problem with your internet connection but iam connected to the internet. Its very agravating, please help.
