I have tried everything to connect, I deleted preferences, I uninstalled Limewire and reinstalled limewire. I uninstalled Java and reinstalled Java. I deleted gnuetella file. I checked my firewall, it is configured to accept Limewire. I installed Limewire 5 and same thing cannot connect. THis is what I have, WIndows Vista Dual In-line Memory Module,1G 667M,128X64,8,240,2RX8, Hard Drive,320G, Processor,E4500,2.20,2M,Core Duo-Conroe,M0 I connect via Cable , with Cablevision in long island I do not have a router. I did the test and it said "you passed the test" 218 gigs free connect from the house I have the same computer for the past year, so nothing is new or changed on my end. Everything was working fine until last week, and suddenly cannot connect. I have windows Vista, Dell Computer, I am the only user, no other computers in the house.; Now what? I am ready to just uninstall and find another P2P website. I am going crazy trying to get this thing to work!! Dee Last edited by deelovesdis; February 21st, 2009 at 09:57 AM. Reason: title change |

![]() It sounds like you ran through the options suggested here If LW Will Not Connect (click on the blue link), did you try disabling all Performance options? Whilst you deleted the gnutella.net file, did you try replacing it? I've supplied 3 versions of my own gnutella.net files. Try each one. ![]() I see your isp is optononline. With that in mind, if all above fails, try changing listening & perhaps connection ports to something like 64049. Tools > Options > Advanced > Firewalls.
