cannot get connected to limewire

ok i have tried installing new version of java, and also have only 1 firewall running with limewire as an exception, but it still doesnt want to connect with only 1 bar!!I am running windows vista home(64)does anyone have any idea what i can do?????i am using the older 4.18 version because the newer 5 version sucks and did the same thing anyway.

Please tell us whether you had trouble with, or didn't try any of those LW 4 fixes.

ok what info do you need as far as my system details?I did try some of those fixes, but still doesnt want to get away from the 1 bar connection!

The help thread that you looked through If LW 4 Will Not Connect has a link explaining which details we need.
Also, please let us know which fixes you didn't try.

This isn't a reply to bbmissy's issue and I apologize, but my Limewire was running fine until one day a few weeks ago it wouldn't open. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it just like it said, and it said "Limewire ran into a problem while it was starting up. This is usually caused by a problem during installation. Try downloading and installing Limewire again and if that doesn't fix it, visit www.limewire.com and click on 'Support'. You can also send the bug to us so we can try and fix it." I've tried doing this several times and it hasn't been fixed yet. Is there anything I can do to try and fix it? I apologize again to bbmissy .
